Four suspects. One liar. Six alibis.
Alibi Hour is a daily whodunit in ChatGPT. Ask the suspects where they were, catch the one whose story doesn't fit, and name them in as few questions as you can. Nobody gets hurt: something always goes missing.
One new case for everyone every day at 00:00 UTC. Also a party mode for a room full of friends.

How it works
Open the case
Tell ChatGPT “Let's play today's Alibi Hour case”. You get the case file: what went missing, where, at what minute, and four suspects.
Ask about the hour
“Ask Ben where he was at 8:30.” Each question gets one answer, word for word, from the case file kept on our server. You have 10 questions.
Catch the liar
Three suspects always tell the truth; the culprit lies in every answer. When their story can't fit, accuse them. Fewer questions beats more.
The rules, all of them
One of the four suspects is the culprit and lies in every answer; the other three always tell the truth. The culprit was alone in the scene at the time of the incident. In ten minutes a person can stay put or walk to a room next door; the room diagonally across takes twenty minutes.
So if Ada says she was in the Kitchen with Ben at 8:30, and Ben says he was alone in the Garden, one of them is lying, and the other two suspects are telling the truth.
Every case is checked
A solver reads every case before it goes out. It makes sure exactly one suspect can be the culprit, and it finds par: the fewest questions that prove who did it. When you accuse, you see whether your own answers proved it, your par, and how you did against everyone who played that day.
ChatGPT never sees the answer either. It only hears what the suspects you asked said.
Mystery party mode
Playing with friends in one room? Start a party from ChatGPT. Everyone opens the link on their phone; four people each take a suspect's private sheet, the rest are detectives. Ask each other “where were you at 8:30?”, then vote on your phones. The culprit is known only to the server and the guest playing them, so the host gets to play too.
